KathyJean Farnam

KathyJean Farnam is currently an undergraduate at San Diego Miramar College studying Chemistry and Mathematics. She joined the Frazer Lab in August 2016 under the Stem Cell Research Program from the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine. She will be working on deriving cardiomyocytes which model Long QT syndrome type 1 and type 3. This project will establish associations between phenotypic analysis of the generated cardiomyocytes before and after exposing the cells to drugs. This project will outline a potential diagnostic tool for accessing the risk of Long QT syndrome type 1 and type 3.
