Jennifer Phuong Nguyen, B.S.
Graduate Student
Jennifer is a graduate student in the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology program at the University of California, San Diego. In 2016, Jennifer received her B.S. in Biochemistry from UT Dallas. Jennifer worked as biochemistry undergraduate researcher where she identified and evaluated small molecule candidates for cancer therapeutics. After graduation, she then worked as a Research Assistant at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center studying genomics and molecular approaches for early prevention of hepatocellular carcinoma, and at UT Southwestern Medical Center assessing the roles of histone variants in epigenetic regulation. Jennifer joined the Frazer Lab in 2019 where she is interested in applying computational approaches to better understand the role of genetic variation in human pathologies.
