Shawn Yost, Ph.D.

Shawn Yost graduated with a BS in Bioinformatics from UC Santa Cruz in 2008. He is currently a PhD student in the UC San Diego bioinformatics program. In the Frazer Lab, Shawn is investigating the effects of formalin fixation on DNA integrity while optimizing alignment, variant calling, and other analytic pipelines of DNA and RNA sequencing. Additionally, Shawn is currently working at Castle Park High School as a Socrates Fellow for the 2010–2011 academic year.
