Hannah is originally from Fort Wayne, Indiana and completed her undergrad in Animal Science at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. She moved to Mulhouse, France for a year after college and then went back to school to complete her Masters degree in Animal Nutrition at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA with Dr. Audrey McElroy. She worked on broiler chicken nutrition, focusing on digestive enzymes, exogenous phytases, and dietary calcium sources. Her research helped develop an in vitro simulation of chicken digestion for quick dietary lab testing. Hannah moved to San Diego and joined the Frazer Lab in September 2014 with an interest in human medical research and the use of iPSCs in cardiovascular disease research. She is looking to further her knowledge and skills in molecular biology and genomic medical research.
