Jana'e Waugh

Jana’e Waugh is currently an undergraduate student at Howard University in Washington D.C. Jana’e is pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. She has completed two internships with Dr. Sukhbir Kaur in the Laboratory of Pathology at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Jana'e joined Dr. Frazer's laboratory as an intern in the Summer Training Academy for Research Success (STARS) at UC San Diego. She is completing a research project in Dr. Frazer’s laboratory where she is investigating causal mechanisms underlying the associations between genetic variants and risk of venous thromboembolism.
