Sanghamitra Singhal joined the Frazer lab in June 2013 as a Research Associate with interests in human stem cells. She primarily works in cell culture of human iPSC and is responsible for differentiating them into cardiomyocytes for the CardIPs project. Sanghamitra obtained an MS in Biotechnology from Himachal Pradesh University, India and was involved in several projects in Research Institutions and hospitals in Germany. She was involved in a research project involving ‘Hyperthermia treatment for Solid Tumors’ at Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich, Germany. Joined the Institute of Molecular Tumor Biology, Muenster, Germany and helped establish Mouse Embryonic Stem Cells and was also involved in other projects focused on ‘The role of mediator complex component PC4 utilizing siRNA knockdown approach in cell line A549, a lung carcinoma cell line'. She was involved in research work on Primary ciliary dyskinesia (PCD) at the University Clinic, Department of Pediatric, Muenster, Germany.
