Isaac is a visiting graduate student from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, where he is working towards his master’s specialization in Regenerative Medicine. He received his B.S in Biological Sciences from Notre Dame De Namur University before joining Rubedo Life Sciences as research associate in 2019. In his role, Isaac supported the design and execution of in-vitro cell/ biochemical assays, and in-vivo PD/PK marker studies to characterize the effects of Rubedo’s compound portfolio targeting age-related pathologies like fibrosis and inflammation. His interest in using multi-omic strategies to find associations between genetic variants and underlying traits of disease-susceptibility led to him joining the Frazer Lab in 2022. In the future, Isaac wants to use his training and experiences to improve biomarker and target discovery research for high risk and underrepresented patients with an emphasis on rare diseases.
