Chris DeBoever is a fourth year graduate student in the Bioinformatics and Systems Biology PhD program at UC San Diego. Chris obtained a BS in Mathemetical Biology from Harvey Mudd College in 2010 and joined the Frazer lab in June 2011. Chris has been studying the role of somatic SF3B1 mutations in chronic lymphocytic leukemia and other cancers in collaboration with Dr. Thomas Kipps of the Moores Cancer Center. He is also using data from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) to investigate the effect of inherited and somatic DNA variants on various biomolecular phenotypes in cancer.
