Melissa J. D'Amour, M.S.

Ms. D’Amour has 15 years experience in establishing and directing genomics and medical service-based businesses for academia as well as for industry. As a current and prior MSO for UCSD School of Medicine and a prior Associate Director for the Salk Institute, she has gained extensive experience and built a reputation for excellence in providing services to researchers and physicians. In addition to her experience in academia, Ms. D’Amour has held several positions in industry including co-founding of a DNA forensic services company where she served as Vice President of Laboratory Operations. She also has set up sequencing efforts at local biotech companies as a consultant. Earlier in her career, Ms. D’Amour worked on sequencing the human genome at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab and conducted high throughput genotyping at Sequana Therapeutics. Ms. D’Amour earned her MS in Forensic Science and her BS in biology and chemistry.
