Yang Dai, BS
Laboratory Technician
Yang Dai studied at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology before she transferred to U.S. and earned her bachelor degree in Biochemistry at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After college, Yang spent two years working in Dr. David Alland’s lab at New Jersey Medical School where she studied multidrug-resistant (MDR) and extensively drug-resistant (XDR) tuberculosis. Later on, she joined the Genomics Core Lab at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center lead by Dr. Agnes Viale, where she provided supporting services on several microarray platforms (Illumina, Affymetrix, and Agilent) and performed high-throughput next-generation sequencing on ABI SOLiD sequencer.
Yang moved to San Diego and joined Dr. Frazer’s lab in July 2011. She is using several approaches enabled by next-generation sequencing technology to study a variety of human diseases.
