Tim is a graduate student in the Biomedical Science PhD program at the University of California, San Diego. Tim graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biological Sciences from Rowan University and a Master’s degree in Microbial Biology from Rutgers University. After his Master’s, he worked as a research associate at the Broad Institute in Dr. Ramnik Xavier’s group where he collaborated closely with computational biologists to test their in silico hypotheses on the bench. This motivated him to pursue a PhD degree in bioinformatics and joined Dr. Frazer’s lab. Tim is currently an NIH National Library of Medicine fellow in Biomedical Informatics and has been awarded an NIH F31 fellowship from the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute (NHLB) - effective Fall 2021. In his thesis research, Tim is leveraging multiomic characterization of induced pluripotent stem cell lines to characterize the molecular mechanisms of complex cardiac and pancreatic traits.
